Battery problem for 02 coupe

Hello!,

I'm new to this so please bear with me. I own a 2002 Chryslwr Sebring Coupe. Recently, my battery died and I decided to get a new one from Autozone. I tried to install it but as soon as I connected it, the horn goes off repeatedly, and my car won't start? I heard something about locking then unlocking it??? I only have the key an not the key fob. Any replies would be helpful because I don't know much about cars haha.

Some vehicles you can use the key in the door lock and cycle the lock back and forth. I've had to do it to some in the drivers door and some in the passenger door lock cylinder.
