My 2006 Mazda 6 got the check engine lights ON. I took it to Advanced AutoParts and they gave me this code :
P2179 - System Too Lean Off Idle Bank 2. Kindly advice what has to be done. |

Re: Check engine Lights on: P2179 Engine code
it could be a issue with your MAS, a vacuum leak or a weak O2 sensor, can google your car and the code for specific things to check or replace

Re: Check engine Lights on: P2179 Engine code
I took it to my mechanic...he said the vaccum pump had a leak...and then he replaced it.. Now after a week, the light pops up again...my mechanic said I might have to replace the fuel pump which is about 800 bucks. Im not sure what to do...

1. Vacuum leak. 2. Bad primary o2 sensor. I have a 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 and I had the same issue. I replaced my primary o2 Sensor and it's fine. |
