Hakosuka Works - LB Performance

Next up is the Liberty Walk (LB Performance) Hakosuka Skyline. I purchased the kit from Hobbylink Japan. This is a very traditionally Japanese tuning style and the cars are impressive machines, not in horsepower figures, but purely for their aesthetic qualities. Shakotan however is a style that you either love or hate. There is no middle ground with this tuning.

I will be building this one box stock. As one of the new shakotan releases from Aoshima this one doesn't need any work at all to achieve the stance that shakotan cars are famous for. Everything fits very nicely so far and I have done a quick test fit of the parts before cementing them together.

So far the chassis and suspension is complete and I am now moving onto the bodywork side of things.

Enjoy!

More to come!

Re: Hakosuka Works - LB Performance

Little more progress on the Skyline. Body has been shot with 2 coats of paint. I am yet to do the panel lines but it's good to have some colour on it. I have gone with a lighter shade of purple so the lines don't disappear into the darkness of the paint. It's a more classic bosozoku colour also, so creative license is in effect but only on the shade of purple.

Stretch tyres look good and in true shakotan style it's sitting right down on the ground.

Re: Hakosuka Works - LB Performance

The rears are getting the camber treatment at the end no worries there. Front wheels shall only get a little though...

Little more progress. Interior is in, kit is basically finished up and ready for decals. Just need to finally adjust the camber on the stretched rear tyres. Looks more like the car I remember seeing at Liberty Walk now!
