New Oil Pan..

I just recently obtained a 1996 Chevy Cavalier from a friend. I went to get an oil change today but they said they couldn't do it because of the oil pan threads were damaged, meaning I have to go get the oil plan replaced in order to get an oil change. How much does it cost to get it replaced and installed ?? >_<

This car was given to me as is.

honestly why don't you ask a couple mechanic shops how much it would be to swap out oil pans?

go to the dealership and ask how much it is for the oil pan... they have a pricebook right there... ask the dealership how much it would be to replace your oil pan...than ask a few reputable mechanics in town...

there's no real j-body geniuses on this message board I'll let you know
