'01 Crown Vic No Air

I've got a 2001 Crown Vic, manual climate controls, with absolutely no airflow at all. The blower fan tested good, the resistor has been replaced and the fan speed switch is good.

Going off the service manual diagnostic, the wire to the mode selector switch is broken or shorting. Has anyone else ran into this problem before? And if so, what would be the best way to go about repairing or running a new wire?
