AMC AMX3 scratch build - JJ

Here is a project I started a little while ago, and a unique car in automotive history, never produced in scale before (that I have been able to find)

In the 1960's AMC (American Motor Company) funded prototype investigation into building a production supercar
They conscripted Bizzarrini to develop the chassis, while the styling was done by Richard Teague
Though it never made it into production, there were reportedly 5 cars built, and rumor of a 6th from spare parts

Unlike other projects of mine, this one has virtually no donor parts to use, and so almost entirely scratch built
The result will be a full detail drivetrain 1/24 scale kit, rubber tires, opening engine hatch, and steerable wheels
I'm very excited about this project!

Reference material is limited for this car, especially since each car was unique, and had various differences
The under chassis is built based on limited information & photo evidence, but instead of add details which I can not prove, I will leave it basic for those unknown areas, and potential future detailing upon discovery

The bodywork begins from flat styrene, and will require all my skill to transform

Found some appropriate Goodyear donor tires, but needed to modify to make correct width, which on the AMX3 was 205 front & 225 rear cross-sections

Re: AMC AMX3 scratch build - JJ

Thanks guys!

More work, some interior / under side including headliner details

Making some changes to the bodywork, to reflect some difference with the various cars made

Working further refined details like drip rails and channels

Made up a comparison chart of the known cars, for visual differences
