22RE 1992 toyota pick up timing questions
My son and I did a timing chain and gear change on this toyota. We was sure to have all marks top dead center and all put back together. The engine cranks over fine but will not hit. We thought to rotate distributer 180. We did that now all we get is a back fire out of exhaust. I can't figure out how to get this thing started. Please help us.

Rotate crank to TDC on #1 compression stroke. Install distributor so that the rotor is pointing at #1 spark plug wire. Check timing.
