Cizeta-Moroder V16T scratch build - JJ
This is little build project I started, while in between waiting for components/design, etc. of others underway
I saw that I could probably develop this scale model using some existing donor components, and so a minimal amount of more labor/time intensive work (like 3D design/printing) It was designed by Marcello Gandini (of Lamborghini Miura, Countach, Diablo fame & many more), and the child of engineer & builder Claudio Zampolli It came into the world during that time of the 1990's when bigger was better & the 200 mph supercars started to come into being The crazy bespoke V16 (yes, 16 cylinder) DOHC engine is it's heart, backed up by a ZF transaxle & unique transverse engine, while longitudinal transaxle, meaning the trans input shaft takes power from the centered output of the V16 block (not unlike an old Alfa Romeo design) Enjoy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Cizeta-Morodor V16T scratch build - JJ
I started next on making the unique V16 engine & drivetrain
Because the engine upper half & valve covers are readily displayed in the engine bay, I used some care in making that For consideration of final assembly, and ease in duplication, I decided to make the engine with head & valve cover(s) integral, but literally in half, so two halves joined make one compete engine, with only accessory ends and intake assembly needed after Also for same reason, I made the engine bellhousing & output housing as one piece, thus leaving the ZF transaxle as a separate component ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Cizeta-Morodor V16T scratch build - JJ
I designed the chassis plate to accept & situate the engine + transaxle components, making final assembly easy, and since the body work conceals much of the lower drivetrain & transaxle from visibility, then some detail is not necessary in those lower corners

I enjoy seeing your workmanship, and this one is no exception.
I have seen real versions of these cars, but I never noticed the odd relation of the transmission to the engine. Great work, and a very interesting subject. |

Re: Cizeta-Morodor V16T scratch build - JJ
This is fantastic! I am also looking to make one in 1/43 scale, though have started it modelling in CAD. Plan is to 3D print the master pattern. Maybe we should join forces
