I am looking to sell my twinturbo z, but i need a powerful substitute, but a bit more affordable. im trying to tally up the work, and parts needed for an rb26dett to s14 swap. i saw on some sight that standalone was definately needed. im also guessing perhaps engine mounts and possibly radiator. also, is the any way to rig up a six-speed tranny to that motor/body combination? im just looking to make a decent-looking sleeper for a hopefully decent price ie: 1000 body, 5000 motor, 1000 standalone. THANKS.

You only need the six speed if you want to put the factory R34 box in or an aftermarket box. The R32 and R33 use a 5 speed, but these are 4wd boxes. The R33 GTS25t 5speed will bolt up and is a RWD box.
Doing the swap over has been done quite a few times. You need to change quite a bit more than you think even keeping of making it 4wd. The entire wiring needs to be done, ecu, engine mounts, trans mounts, drive shaft, rear end assembly, front springs and shocks, the list goes on. I hope you have very deep pockets or can do a lot of the work yourself.
