2000 Impala P0102 problem (3.4L)
The engine surges, especially when it is cold outside. The engine runs fine once it is up to operating temp. I have taken everything out from the throttle body to the air cleaner and sprayed it all down with either a carburetor cleaner or MAF Sensor spray where appropriate. I keep getting the P0102 code indicating the MAF is bad so I replaced it. Made no difference at all. The code reader says low air volume so I ran it without the air filter, only in the driveway, still same code. Any ideas or troubleshooting techniques I could try? Thanks!

Check the condition of the electrical connector for the MAF. I've had these and the TPS connectors fail on this vintage Buick V-6.

Update: I changed the MAF and still the same problem. IO used a friends ODBC reader and see the reading is 1.9 g/s. This reading is constant even if the sensor is disconnected. So I think I have a wiring problem. Does anyone know what pin the MAF sensor connects to the ECU? I have voltage on the red and black but no reading on the yellow.
