z34 Cold Start Problem
I'm having a issue with my Chevy Lumina Z34 (1991). When it's cold outside the car has a hard time starting up! I have to crank it multiple times while giving it gas. When it starts and is warm she runs great. I've been recommended to get a fuel injector flush. I also read synthetic oil could help also. Any suggestions? It doesn't happen all the time.

Re: z34 Cold Start Problem
Not an oil problem(may help it crank over easier),.....It would have to be an extremely cold day, below zero, to affect cranking....
Try replacing the fuel filter? Try some dry gas? Pull the IAC and clean the pintle to it and the passageway? Clean throttle plate and bore? Check for codes? Would need a scan tool to see if the coolant temp sensor matches the IAT sensor, before starting first thing in the morning... |
