96 mercury sable Just died???
I have a 96 Mercury Sable with a 3.0 V6 DOHC. I was driving down the highway when all of a sudden the car jerked, the tachometer dropped to 0, and it seemed like the engine was no longer getting fuel. When I got pulled over to the side of the road the car died on me. I tried restarting the car but it would only crank and never turn over.

likely fuel pump failure or PCM failure, but it could be something internal to the engine as well, although mechanical engine failures in these cars are rare.
