I need help

Hi so I got a 2011 Nissan Versa about a month ago. I got really fed up with not having a keyless remote so i bought one off of Amazon seeing how easy the process is. When it came in the mail today I tried the steps over and over again. It has NOTHING to do with the remote. The problem is that my car will not go into the programming mode at all. My hazard lights wont come on which means I can't even get past step two. I am doing the directions right I'm sure of it but it still will not work. Please someone give me an answer on how I can get my car into the programming mode. I already spent money on the keyless remote. Also I see a lot of people say get in the car and press the power lock button to lock all the doors in the car. My car does not have power lock buttons. You have to lock and unlock it manually. And the windows are manual too. I really hope this is not a problem because I am so frustrated and depressed about the situation. Please someone help me. Why won't my car enter programming mode?
