1:12 Fujimi AXES Nissan R32 GTR

Hi guys,

Been a while since I did a WIP on here. Been on a building buzz for the last few months so we will see how long it lasts lol.

I brought this kit over 5yrs ago and had tinkered with it a bit here and there. Never really committing to getting into it. But after getting my eye back in with the Hiace van. I'm feeling confident again.

So, this is what I have done so far.

First of all, this thing is huge and it needs lowering. The front had about 2 degrees of positive camber.

So a bit of cutting and gluing sorted that out.

Sitting much better

I also re made the headers as the ones I made ages ago were not good. They still need some work.

Also, stripped the wheels as I've changed my mind on that too.

Thanks for looking.

Can't beat a 1/12 Skyline! Dying to start mine!

May I ask where you got the BBS wheels from? Did they come from the white box art of the 1/12 kit?

Thanks, these were the wheels that came with the kit, yet are not shown on the box.

Thanks Ash! Yeah, this kit is a challenge getting the suspension right. I had to cut and add styrene for the rear suspension. Also there was a few sinks in the body around the number plates and bumpers. I'll try to show as I go.

Re: 1:12 Fujimi AXES Nissan R32 GTR

only build i've seen is hiroboy's and it is amazing. i've built the 1/12 r32 veilside combat one but would like to redo the body as the paint's already cracked in some places - i'm not pushing through yet as i need either a scan of the decals or a replacement decal sheet.

Yeah, that's the only 1:12 scale thread I could find too. That's why I decided to start this thread. I can't promise my skills will be awesome as Steve's though lol

A little bit of progress.
Drilled out the disc brakes.

Cleaned up the seats.

Started on the rollcage.

Painted the wheels with Alclad black base.

Also vented the hood.
