Please help, noisey brakes!

I bought and installed new rotors/pads, and they are nice drilled/slotted rotors. After me and my buddy put them on. I know we did it correctly. The cars has constant and load scratching noises while I drive, even without braking. When we did bleed them, the smell on the brake fluid almost smelt like coolant? So maybe someone before I owned it, put coolant in it? I understand that coolant does not go in the brake fluid, but would it make it constantly be grinding when driving normal, and when braking?

Can we assume the noise comes directly fom the pad-rotor contact? The brake fluid can smell almost like coolant if it is old or contaminated, still wouldn 't cause noises.

Yes, no noises before I replaced the brakes, they were just old and squeaky. No its almost like a scratching noise when I drive, even without braking, and im 99% we put everything on right

It's possible during installation, you bent the dust shield and it's contacting the back of the rotor?
