2006 grandprix base 3.8
I have a 2006 base model grandprix with the 3.8. my problem is that the intermediate wipers stop at about 45 degrees when in the intermediate mode. can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? wipers function fine otherwise.

Re: 2006 grandprix base 3.8
That's an unusual problem.
I've got older GPs (98/99), so some things may have changed but the general scheme for the delay wiper circuit may be the same. I've attached the schematic from my manual. The delay circuit has two primary components (besides power, which is apparently not the issue). The wiper switch (in the steering column) has a resistor bank for the various delay settings. The motor is more than a motor - it has electronics with it . Those electronics translate the voltage from the switch into the time delay. You can verify the resistor bank at the connector (C201 on right side of steering column behind instrument panel for this model). Put key into run and cycle through delay settings. My bet the problem is the motor electronics. Check it by disconnecting the wiper motor connector, turn ignition to run, wiper to delay, and measure input voltage at motor connector (terminal E for this model). Should get battery voltage. If not, then it may be a wiring problem. If so, then it must be the motor electronics.
