Vats System-96 park avenue
When trying to start my 96 park avenue-At times it will not start and if I leave the key in run position for 1 minute it will go ahead and start. Can I bypass the vats module with a resistor to cure this problem?

Not hard, do a sight or google search for bypass vats.

Re: Vats System-96 park avenue
PassKey I, II, or III?
I and II have the black resistor pellet in the key.... III has a transponder in the key..... When you say won't start, does it crank over and not fire, or it doesn't crank over at all? First thing you should do is observe the SECURITY light, turn key to on....after 3 seconds, the light should go out....if it does, and the car does not crank, the resistor is not the solution...could be a starter or connection....could be the starter enable relay or the circuit to it.... If the SECURITY light stays on, AND doesn't crank, then it could be the circuit to the lock cylinder, and a resistor is an option.... |

Re: Vats System-96 park avenue
The car would not crank or click and security light would stay on. I installed a resistor yesterday in ignition key switch circuit-so far still starting, keeping fingers crossed.
