security light

I just changed my ignition cylinder, and now my s-10 won't start. I've done the telltale thing, and all that does is kill my battery. The security light never stops blinking like they said it would after 10 minutes. Can anybody help me figure this out? Thank you in advance, Santos

Year and engine would help.
Have you charged battery and done the anti theft reset?

I 're-removed the ignition cylinder and brought it back. The told me it might be defective and gave me a new one. Truck started right up after I charged the battery. Thanks MT.
