2005 to 2004 Ram 4.7L interchange?

I have a 2004 Ram 4.7L with a bad engine. The short block interchange listed is 03-04 and 05-07.

I have found that in 05 they started using a pair of knock sensors (under intake manifold).

The heads are the same, the intakes are the same, cranks are the same, timing covers are the same and the exh manifolds are the same.

I want to use the 05 engine in my 04 Ram. My 04 did not have knock sensors.

Will the 05 Engine work in my 04 if I simply don't install the knock sensors???
