2013 LaCrosse cabin filter

The owner's manual mentions that the car has a cabin filter but does not show or tell where it is located. I checked under the dash on the passenger side but could not locate it. I also checked under the hood on the firewall but cannot locate any such filter. Anybody know where it is?

It's behind the glove box, it'll need to be removed to access the filter. You'll see a narrow rectangular compartment above the fan motor, there is a retainer on either side of the compartment door, open the door and remove the filter.

Thanks for the info. The filter does not need to be changed yet (manual says 35,000 miles) but I will file this away for future reference.

Re: 2013 LaCrosse cabin filter

I changed the filter yesterday. It took me about 20 minutes. I would think the Buick engineers could have made it a little easier to change.
After removing the side panel of the dash, there is plastic clip or tab that had to be released in order to drop the glove compartment. The service manual showed a screw.
I did not find it necessary to unplug the two lights. I simply moved the wires out of the way in order to remove the filter.
O'Reilly had two filters available. One was about $10 and the other (WIX) was $40.
