Tyre Wear on Citroen C4

Hi All,

I have just picked up my car from a service and MOT at Citroen (2010 Model C4 Diesel 5 door Auto) and was advised that 2 Tyres were down to 3mm and one was down to 4mm. According t them 3mm would show as a red flag for them.

I bought the car from them 6 months ago. They said they only change the tyres on used cars if the tread is at 3mm. I have only driven 1100 miles since purchase. Is it feasible that I would have worn down the tyres by 1mm?

I would like to replace all four tyres as we are expecting a child in the new year. I am considering arguing that Citroen should comp at least 2 of them. Does that seem a fair assumption?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
