Super clean 95 Dakota. Need your help deciding.

I want to buy a good used pickup truck and my buddy's dad has a super clean 1995 Dodge Dakota Club Cab sport that except for a few very minor scratches looks like it came off the showroom floor. The interior is pristine and everything works and it's a one owner truck that has been garaged all its life and under the hood you could eat dinner.
It has the 3.9L Magnum V-6 engine, automatic transmission and runs and drives like a new truck and has only 85,000 miles on it. And he only wants $3000.00 for it.

I do not know much about Dodge trucks but some of my other friends tell me that Dodge drivetrains have always been junk and to run...don't walk away from this truck.

I'm looking for more fair and less biased advice on this particular truck if there are any of you that have had experience with this particular year and model.
Also, is this 3.9L Magnum V6 a very good engine? I don't know.
Is it a push rod engine, or is it an overhead cam engine?

I value your input. And if it's good input I need to get it bought up quick because I know there are other lookers.

Thanks!
