Need Assist...ASAP

Hello, I'm new to the site & had a question about my 03 Grand Prix SE w/ a 3100 engine, off & on my engine has been running hot & my oil light has been coming on. Oil is level, radiator too, but i did notice a small leak in the front of engine. I've read online saying that's it's could only be a intake gasket leak. Just wanted to know if anyone has ran into this problem & what to do. Thx

Yes, 3.1's are known for coolant leaks at the lower intake gasket....a slow leak can cause an air pocket, that can create overheating problems.....

Should do a coolant pressure test or add dye to coolant and use a black light to confirm this....

As for your oil light, is it the level light or the pressure light?

If level light, could be the sensor in the pan or the harness to it....if the pressure light, could be the oil pressure sensor near the oil filter....pressure should be checked with a mechanical gauge...
