98 alarm/keyless entry question

Does anyone know how to turn off the horn chirp when using the keyless entry on a 1998 rodeo. It honks once when locking and twice when unlocking. I'm not even sure that you can turn it off. Just wondering if there is a way. I leave for work @ 3am and the alarm honk wakes up my neighbors. Thanks in advance.
