Diesel car submerged in sewer water for 8 hrs

Hi,

My car (just 16 months old) was submerged under sewer water for 8 hours. I have given the car for repair, however I want to know what is the extent of damage done to my car? is the car worth to invest into repairs? what are the damages done to the engine, electrical system? what are the long term damages I will see? Needs experts to suggest me on this!!
