Need help. Door lock and alarm receiver location and program instructions 1999 Camry

I need to program a new fob for my 1999 Camry. Some on line instructions I found claims I need to locate the receiver and press the programming switch to start the process. The instructions say the receiver may be under one of the front seats or behind the driver side mirror switch mount plate. I can not find it in either of the specified locations. Does anybody know where else I might look? I checked my Haynes manual and it is useless for this.

Maybe you're asking the wrong question. Are you sure you need to access the module? Doesn't sound like you are sure.

Your may be right

I did some more looking around my vehicle. My car has an Enforcer 100 FA alarm that was installed at some point. I am the cars second owner so I don't know when it was installed. It may have been added by the dealer but I have no way to tell. This Enforcer must be tied in to the door locks because when I disconnect it the locks don't work and it has an antenna wire that must be for the remote. Now that I know what I have I need to find out how to program it for my new fob and still be able to use the other fob I have that does activate the locks and alarm. Searching on line I have found nothing that helps but The Seco Alarm company is still in business. They show that my alarm has been discontinued so I am going to call them on Tuesday and see it their support can help me figure it out or sell me a fob that will work.

With help from the Seco Alarm Co I finally figured out how to program my new Remote for the door locks / alarm in my car. If anyone is interested here is what it takes.

The remote for my receiver is designed with traces on the circuit board that are either jumped or cut to form the address of the receiver. I was able to determin what traces needed to be cut by looking at the other working remote I have and copying that. I used a no11 exacto knife to cut the traces. Why the remote was not designed with a mini switch block instead I will never know because that could have been done. It may have made the remote a litter bigger but much easier to program.
