car wont start

after driving to the store, i parked for like an hour. i came back outside to start it and it just clicks. i bought an starter from autozone, it didn't work. i took that one back and got one from advanced auto, it didn't work either. again it justs make a hard click when i attempt to start. please help

Year and engine.....doubt two starters would be bad.....

A hard click? I would get a long wrench or socket setup with a long handle to see if you can easily rotate the crank bolt clockwise.....if you can't, the engine is locked......could be hydrostatically locked with coolant or fuel, or it could be a mechanical problem......is your coolant level low?

Have seen the upper plenum leak coolant and lock the engine.......to confirm, remove all the plugs, disable fuel and ignition(I remove the harness from the ICM, 7mm screw)....have someone now crank the vehicle.....if coolant comes out of the plug holes while cranking, that is your problem......

Have you even checked the battery or the terminals?
