Alignment after Eibach Pro kit install

Good Morning Everyone. I installed KYB AGX springs, and Eibach Prokit springs on my 2004 Cavalier. It drives nice, but I have a post alignment questions. The caster on the drivers side is out of spec at 5.1°. Any reason why that would be out? So far the only negative is it doesn't self center after turning left. The other weird thing is the toe changed in the rear. The tires pointed to the right before the strut install. Now they point to the left.

So do a 4 wheel alignment, you may see what is going on.

I did get it aligned actually. That is how I knew it was out of spec. I guess I didn't make it clear. They adjusted the toe. That is all they said they could do.

Re: Alignment after Eibach Pro kit install

The only adjustable angles on your car is the front and rear toe, although the front camber can be adjusted by grinding out the strut mount holes at the knuckle. The front toe is adjusted with the tie rods and the rear uses shims between the backing plate and the axle. If the rear changed like you said, then the axle shifted when it was lowered to replace the springs. As far as the caster, it shouldn't have moved too much, unless there is movement at the top strut mount. If it can be moved forward or backward in the bolt holes, that will change the caster. Normally they bolt right up with minimal or no change at all.

Cool, Thanks for the reply. The rear has struts. I replaced them one at a time, so I'm not sure how they got messed up. I might try and adjust the front. I mainly wanted to make sure I didn't mess something up.
