help me buy my car 1999 e55 vs 2001 e430

I am in the midst of deciding between these two cars. I can get the e430 16,000 miles with the sport package, moonroof, and heated seats for $38K it has 1.5 years of warranty left. The e55 55,000 miles has no warranty but new brakes ($3k) and new Pilot Sports ($2k) this one will cost me only $31k.
Both cars are pretty mint and original owner cars.
All opinions are welcome. Has anyone had any major minor problems with their e55s with these miles? I am worried about buying a non warrantied $30000 USED car.

Let me know what you think

Hi,
What car did you eventually buy???

Was the E55 a private purchase, and if so why??

I personally would be terrified of buying that sort of car without any warranty.

Regards,
John

This was the best vehicle purchase I have made. There is a good company that even warranties amg cars. I got a three year 100k mile warranty for 3 grand.
Now I don't have to worry about a thing but general maintenance. If I sold the car today I could easily get 35ish for it in the private market since it is pristine.
I have no interest in selling though. Actually I wish I could find a similar vehicle as my convert was stolen recently and I need to replace it.
The car is built very well, it's wicked fast and handles well for a big heavy sedan.

Hi again,
Thanks for the speedy reply (AMG powered no doubt) I am pleased that everything worked out. My only concern reading your post was the warranty issue and you have answered that question.
