Howdy gang. I have a 1998 ford Windstar with a 3.8 V.6 When I turn my lights on and drive it my lights flicker. I have checked all my grounds that I no of and my connections while driving my lights go dim when I let off the gas. but do not flicker any more. when I accelerate they begin to flicker again. I've had the alternator check and all is good. I have no clue. has anyone else had this problem? Any help will be much appreciated. PS thanks for allowing Me to join this awesome site...

Re: windstar light problems
Assuming your '98 is wired like my '99 (and I think it is) ... all exterior lamps get a "constant" 12 volt supply, and are switched on the negative or ground side. You could take an alligator-clip jumper and jump the negative side, at the lamps, directly to chassis ground. This should keep the headlights on anytime the system is "on". Then you could take a drive and see what happens ... this will let you know if the problem is on the ground or positive side.

Re: windstar light problems
Thank You 12Ounce for Your quick reply. I forgot to mention that its not only the head lights but all the lights inside and out that flicker. been at this a while now and just can't figure it out. it's driving me crazy. I'm afraid that they will go completely out soon. but I will surly try Your suggestion and cross my fingers lol
