ecbm

I bought a 99 gtp w/blown trans, swapped in the trans from 97 gtp drives and shifts fine but tcs light is on and no cruise, probably pre existing but the cruise is a killer, any idea's where to look, I replaced the ebcm (salvage), and chanced the cruise unit and release switch, still nothing

Re: ecbm

There is an ebcm and ebtcm, the latter has the traction control function....

Have you checked for PCM and EBCM codes?

Re: ecbm

Will a failed ebcm disable the cruise control?
I need the cruise, the Trac control is not necessary

Re: ecbm

One of the problems is, you don't know if any of these problems was pre-existing, or occurred after the transmission swap....

You did not list any "C" codes(ABS)....you need a scan tool that is capable of reading ABS codes...the average scannner can't....

P1111 has to do with you intake air sensor....readings are out of range...either too high or too low, due to an open or short(is it connected?)...

P1671 has to do with your MIL(CE light) circuit....

P1571 has to do with the a bad connection/circuit between PCM and EBTCM, or a bad EBTCM......

I am not sure if this code would disable your cruise.....

Common problems with the cruise, are bad/misadjusted brake switch, if this has steering wheel controls a bad ON/OFF switch, or if the cruise switch is on a lever, a bad switch.....sometimes even a burnt out center stop lamp can disable the cruise....
