MP4/12C Engine Masking
Hi guys,
I have a problem. I've been trying to mask of the molded in engine crap with small pieces of Tamiya tape, but it's too complicated to mask. Anybody else have a solution? Thanks. Best regards, Lesley |

Re: MP4/12C Engine Masking
I used one of my photo-etch saws from Crazy Modeler and cut the engine out flush with the bottom. It was a bit of a pain but seemed easier than trying to mask. My only other thought would have been a liquid mask.

Re: MP4/12C Engine Masking
I've had really good luck using blu-tack as a masking agent. You can poke it into small spaces and shape it with toothpicks. It peels off easily after painting and doesn't seem to leave any residue.
