you can test a CPS sensor by pulling a spark plug & wire apply to metal & look for a spark. No spark bad CPS sensor yes spark good CPS sensor?

Re: true or false ?

False.....

Should use a spark tester, rather than take a chance on getting zapped by high voltage.....

If you have spark, than yes, the crank sensor is ok.....question is, do you have spark on all 6? If you don't have it on all 6, then it could be a coil or ICM.....

If you don't have spark, then it could be a bad crank sensor, bad ICM, bad connection at the harness to the crank sensor or at the ICM, or a bad wire between the crank sensor and the ICM, or power and ground circuits at the ICM....would be almost impossible for three coils to fail at the same time.....

However, I have seen a coil short out and take out the fuse to the ICM, and thus no spark....
