2005 Trailblazer no fluid to front calipers

Just replaced front calipers on 2005 Trailblazer, when I tried to bleed I get no fluid to either caliper. I lost some fluid in the master but I filled it and checked rear brakes they work fine and have fluid, and I got no air from them. I also added fluid to each caliper, any suggestions? Thanks

How are you bleeding them, how did you add fluid to each caliper? If you have air in the system, you must start at the rear. Does the pedal go to the floor?

Do you have ABS? Is the ABS light on when started?

I added fluid to the caliper through the bleed hole. I got a no fluid so I went to the rear plenty of fluid and the rear have pressure. No air. It has antilock brakes. No ABS light on.

You replaced BOTH front calipers? Why?

When removing calipers, did you allow the brake fluid to drain from the lines?

Yes the fluid drained from the lines. I replaced both because after reassembly brakes both would not release and they heated up. I was told that aluminum calipers can be a problem when the pistons were compressed. I thought this caused them to not release so replaced them.

If you got air in the abs unit you have to have the brakes bled using a scanner to actuate the internal solenoids in the abs while bleeding the brakes.

Always use small vise grips to squeeze rubber brake line it will prevent draining brake fluid from lines. You either have air in abs unit like max said or try to bleed master cylinder. U can also try to open front bleeders and wait for fluid to come all the way down (sometimes works for me)

Hmmm...just curious...was/is the rubber seal on the master cylinder cap all swelled up?

now that is a new one , adding brake fluid into the bleed screw !!!!! LOL..

I thought he had a big leak or the line was pinched blocking the fluid flow. any way no front brake pressure how did you stop ?
