2007 Trailblazer temp
Changed engines on my 2007 Trailblazer LS 4x4 with a 4.2. Flushed the radiator when I had the engine out. The truck runs at 210 degrees. Is that normal? It doesn't over heat.

Re: 2007 Trailblazer temp
Thank you MaxWedge! I changed the thermostat just for grins. It did not help. New thermostat is 192 degrees. Yet gauge reads 210. I'm not going to worry about it.

Re: 2007 Trailblazer temp
When you plug in the scan tool, and turn on the electro-viscous cooling fan, does the fan actually engage and sound like a tornado?
I was playing with that on my '03 4.2 last evening. Mine engages and dis-engages; even seems to partially-engage if I set the tool to less than 100% engagement. It takes a long time for the fan to kick in, though, and even longer to dis-engage.

Re: 2007 Trailblazer temp
I only have a small hand held scan tool.
No way to engage the fan. Thanks for posting. |
