R31 Vs. VN ute - race.

Well much to my delight I raced a VN ute with VP engine, VR 5speed box, VP interior, VS bodykit. He has the 3.8L V6 with same mods as me, K&N (he has pod i have panel in stock airbox) and full exhaust (he has gutted cat). Drag was from about 70km/h to 130kmh or something. He was slightly ahead through 2nd but when we changed from 2nd to 3rd, i got my nose in front, his bumper was at my b pillar, and thats how we finished. Hah I was so stoked that i beat a car with slightly better mods than mine, and 800cc more capacity (dont know about the weight). I fuck up the 2-3 shift a bit when im accelerating hard, but i nailed it this time, ah im so happy. to you Holden.

Just thought id put it up, a skyline win is a good win, specially against the odds. :sun:

Chalk up another kill to the humble R31 Slip How do you find the Panel Filter I am looking at one instead of a pod???

Mate, no noticable change. Get pod, get cold air, and get rid of the restricive 1st part of intake etc.

i wanna modify it so the panels facing forward and gettin some good air, with no lid.

Lol, it was a V6 - hence the 800cc capacity advantage - 3.8L V6 commodores.

shit ay, we both learned something today. 3.6L DOES equal a V6.
Then you should of dusted him off pretty easily
Theres actually quite a few commodores around here that are V6 but sound like a V8. Must be exhaust or something.

we get a bit of vb around and that stuff tastes like something a horse would piss, but its pretty cheap.
