r-34 240z conversion
hi out there to all who keep the passion burning,ok i'll get on with it. i wanna go with an r-34 drivetrain in a 240z. custom mounts for engine and trans. and the driveshaft hook-up are the least of my concerns with this install. what i'm wondering about is steering column clearance with the turbo hardware and what not. as far as the front wheels go custom attachments seem a worthwhile task so can have awd, some guy told me to use maxima parts to hook-up the front wheels. do you smart auto enthusiasts out there have any advice on what to look-out for on this conversion?thanks- your partner in SPEED

The conversion has been done, infact one of the guys who use to post on here had done it. I forget who though.
As you know, anytime you try to tackle a project like this, there is a butt load of fabricating(which I am all about). If I remember corretly they had a 240 with GTR drivetrain (I doubt it was an R34, though) on Ebay for sale a few months back, so it has been done on more than one time. Sorry, I cannot give you any detailed info, but if you have the will, there is always a way. Good Luck. P.S. Why the hang up on the R34 Drivetrain?

i just want to do something different, and have never heard of a 6 speed 240z. I feel that the engine should run reliably in the mostly stock trim that fits my budget. what do you get for a couple of grand or so in upgrades for an r-34?An upgraded ecu the place to start? where do you get the best deals without speaking japanese?thanks and may your fire burn strong(here i go again).
