Question Please Help-->It's a Mystery...

'95 Civic EX has many issues & I'm really at my breaking point...I've kept up with maintenance and have really never had any mechanical problems with it besides this problem...

It all began 2 years ago when I heard a small squealing noise going around bends...I had my pads replaced and rotor cut...When they attempted replacing my other rotor, it crumbled in their hands...From here, the problem only excalated...The noise turned into a loud creaking noise (I can best explain it as walking on an old wooden floor) and only occurred when braking...I've had many things replaced (i.e., half shafts, brakes, brake hardware, rotors) due to this but nothing has alleviated the problem...Just recently I had my tires replaced and the noise vanished for about a week then came back even worse (if at all possible)...Now, the problem is changing once again...Not only is my car "creaking" but when I press the pedal to brake it, along with my whole car, vibrates...Ahhhhhh, it's so bad, I think something is going to fall off while driving down the road =(

I'm beginning to think this problem may be more so related to the brake pedal, such as the brake booster...I would really love to solve this problem once and for all & was hoping someone would have some more information on this...Or maybe have had a similar problem that I can relate to...

Any help is much appreciated...Thanks =)

make sure the rotors have been turned, and the pads are flat as well. are the pads and rotors wearing down evenly? are your tires wearing down evenly? have the cv-joints been checked recently? have you run into anything recently like a curb or large rock that would throw the alignment off?

???

As far as I know, everything is wearing evenly except the normal wear and tear you get from driving...The rotors are the only thing I can think of that aren't...They continue to warp although I just recently had them turned...My CV-Joint is 1-year old and has been checked numerous times as well...While I can admit, I do need an alignment I haven't run into anything to throw it off.

I've run down the whole front-end of my car and have found nothing...My fiance is a mechanic and he's absolutely baffled...I figured since he doesn't specialize in Honda's, I'd take it to a Honda dealer...I did so twice and they told me that because I was using "Honda" brake pads, the shoes were shimmying in the housing causing this very bothersome noise...I replaced the pads with "Honda" pads and replaced the hardware at the same time...& still nothing!!!!

Would you happen to have any more advice...?
I would definitely love to hear it.

Thanks =)

Gee sparq, thanx for the kind words of wisdom...Do you have any idea what you're talking about...?...I was just wondering because if the noise was entirely dependent on an alignment, what would that have to do with the brakes...?...Wouldn't the noise continue while the car is in motion regardless of whether the brake pedal was stepped on or not...?...JUST WONDERING!
