Who here uses Netscape?
Does anyone here use Netscape with windows? If so, I have a few questions I was wondering if I could get some help with.
Thanks |

I'm on IE 5.5 but use netscape as my default browser if that means I can help you.

I use IE under windows, and mozilla under Linux.
I used to use Netscape under Windows up until quite recently (when i upgraded to Win ME ), and was pretty good at it, so if ya got a ? about netscape, i might be able to help.

Well, believe it or not, the Netscape 6.2 seems to run faster on my Windows XP, then IE 6 does. But for my questions, they are just simple stuff, that I cannot figure out. One, can you set your home page? The email feature in there, can you set your existing POP info, or does it have to be netscapes info?

You should be able to in the preferences or internet options menu either in the Tools or Edit menu. Let me know if that helps.

Duh... thanks.
Thats a start, I didnt even know that was there. Now, this is more of a annoyance. The window I type in is narrow. See the pic below. Is that just because it is Netscape? (Igor?) |

So that's what Netscape 6 looks like!
![]() Unfortunately for you, yeah. I have the older version. I refuse to upgrade. If I go into Tools, then Internet options, this is what it should look like. I don't know if v6 is the same way. I'm sending you an email right now. One sec and you should see what the screen looks like. I hope you will be able to see it since I had to shrink it a bit.
