Question Help, my speedo has stopped working

Got in the car tonight after not driving it for a week and the speedo will only go up to 60 km/h. (but I was only doing 60 officer) When I stop it goes back to about 10 km/h and rises to 60 as the car moves off.
Any smart people got any clues?
Thanks in advance.

My speedo was messing up and i got under the car, unscrewed speed sensor, palyed with all the wiring etc and it fixed it.....but it kept happening, i kept fiddling, now its ok. Bloody electrics.

Just get under it, jiggle wiring connections, check em, maybe put a mates speed sensor on and see if it works, very easy on R31's.

Unhappy Aaarrgh! It's playing up again...

thanks slip. Can you describe where the speedo sender is? There are three senders I can see on the gearbox or is it on the final drive somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

Unhappy It's a pain in the arse isn't it

I had my tacho play up on me about a month after I got my car, tried the sender & wiring, no joy Ended up being the gauge itself, swapped it for a new one & it was good as gold. Thanks to warranty it cost me $O

Question Ya' never know mate?

It might be a simple loose wire, or electrical "gremlins" that'll come good?

But hey, @ least you've got the warranty to fall back on.
