Transmission not downshifting
On my 08 uplander the transmission seems like it doesn't want to downshift when its cold. I will leave home and drive about 3 miles to a stop sign. As I am taking off from the stop sign the rpms go up and move just a little bit then all of a sudden it goes into first to take off. Seems to only do it when its cold. It has 129,000 miles. and 3.9L.

Re: Transmission not downshifting
Could be a seal leaking or valve sticking, until things warm up and expand.....
Checked fluid level, smell, and color? Checked for transmission codes? |
