Alfa Romeo 155 DTM

Hi everybody.

A few weeks ago I started this kit.
This will be a quick build just out of the box.
I'm building car number seven.
Hereby the first pictures, the rest will follow soon.

Let me know what you think about it.

Re: Alfa Romeo 155 DTM

Hi everybody,

Hereby a few photos of the Alfa in progress.

A few parts in primer waiting for a base coat of paint.

After drying, the base coat...

Here it is, a Alfa in Italian Red from Zero-paint

I painted the rims semi-gloss black.

After that some interior parts painted in Gun Metal from zero-paint.

The arms are aluminum

Made a start with the doorpanels..
They will be silver/aluminium inside.

After painted a lot with the airbrush I painted the front suspension and brakes by hand.

Also did some work on the interior.

The last two photos in this update will be of the exhaustsystem.
I did some discoloration on it and a little wash of smoke

This is all folks.
Let me know what you think about it.

See you next time

Re: Alfa Romeo 155 DTM

Hi everybody.

Hereby another update about my Alfa Romeo.
This won't be an major update I've done a lot of work already.
The last time the rims were still in the frame but now there are wheels.

The chassis is almost done.
Edited a few major components and it looks like this now.

Still have to do some small adjustments in the engine bay but that will be fine.
edited some decals...

... and mounted the front and rear wheel suspension/brakes.

All what's left to do is mout the wheels.

Until so far this update.
next time I'll tell you about the decals.

see you,

modellmaker.

Hi,

I started with a base coat of PEARL LEAF GOLD from pactra.
But this was to much gold so I used a second coat of PEARL LEAF SILVER.
When this was done I used some PURPLE in very thin layers to give the bends some discoloration.
Finally a thin coat of smoke for more depth.
But it was some practice for me to find out what was the best methode to get what I wanted.
