02 ford windstar
Put a new ignition switch in my van. Cant reset the anti theft system. Its an add on from the from the factory. How do i disable it?

Did a dealer do this work?
. The PATS sensor (looks kinda like a little hearing-aid) must be moved from the original switch to the new one ..OR... the dealer, using special equipment, must "marry' the replacement PATS sensor to the instrument cluster and the PCM. A 3-way marriage.
