Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R

Took out a new kit, This time A Jap

Unboxing Video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgQoU7_lTbA
This will be the color ill use

I opened up the side vents on the front bumper

The stock body with the mold lines marked

And with the body kit on.

Filled up the seat backs with some Milliput cause the stoch seat backs were in way to deep.

Re: Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R

Thanks guys!

I'm holding off the painting, cause my new camera is not in yet so that'l probably be next week!

Today I started on the interior

Chekking how it fits with the body

Started drilling for the rollcage

Bending the tubes

I decided the stock speakers were not going to cut it, so i cut those of and put in some new ones

I also found some rwcing seats and a nice sporty steering wheel to go with the rollcage

I had some disks left over from an older build so i solderd those up and now im going to use them on this one

Re: Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R

Thanks, I really like it aswell!

Did some work on the hood last week

Gave the hood a light sanding and put some primer on it

Sanded the primer down with 1000 grid sandpaper

Put some color on it

Cut the decals to size

First half

2nd half

And finaly a small decal to finish it of

Now all it needs is some clear.

Also made a video on how to do this

Re: Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R

Nice. I've built one of these, it's a great little kit.

I'm curious why you went with two pieces on the hood decals and not a single big piece? That joint line in the middle would drive me nuts.

Well i like the look of the split fibers. And 2 pieces makes it easier to apply it without wrinkels. I could have done the weave in the same direction. But i like this better.

Cleared the hood yesterday

And ofcours a video

Cool, I was just curious. Looks good with the clear coat.
