Re: 1/8 Jaguar C Type
The tall glass is actually Coke....
The body was carved in wood, a rubber mould made and then the shell laid up in glass matt and resin. Roy.

Re: 1/8 Jaguar C Type
I've done a fair bit more on the 'Big C'.
The exhaust manifold was scratched using bits of an E Type manifold, tubing and lots of filler! I have nice Webber carbs from a 'source' in Germany but I'm looking at making up my own. The rear diff, axle and suspension is next and then the brakes and wheels. Its a really fun build and part of the enjoyment is working out HOW to do something. After this one, it's a short nose D Type Jaguar...... Onward and upward..... Roy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: 1/8 Jaguar C Type
Great work so far!!! looks increible!!
Shapeways can 3D print you a 1/8 Jag (c or D type i think) if you can afford it + all the extras, like engine etc etc etc...

Re: 1/8 Jaguar C Type
The carbs are metal, with 'proper' spun ally trumpets.

Re: 1/8 Jaguar C Type
Moving on......
The rear end is almost sorted and the front is test-fitted but not fixed. Front chassis/suspension next. Roy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
