Rough idle of my 2000 Windstar

I have a 2000 Windstar that has been running roughly for a long time. I've changed lots of the parts such as the sensors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, gas filter, air filter, fuel pump but it still runs roughly and sometimes it stalls. This week I disconnected the camshaft throttle position and I tried the van and it worked well with this sensor disconnected. I tried replacing the camshaft throttle with a different one but when i tried driving the van it was rough again. So the only time the van drives okay is when the camshaft throttle is disconnected. If someone knows what the problem is, can you tell me because I don't think it's normal to drive with the throttle disconnected.

There is a "throttle position sensor" near the throttle body, and a "camshaft position sensor" up on top of the front engine cover, near the power steering pump, ... which did you replace?

I replace both and the one I disconnect is the one near to the throttle body.

Re: Rough idle of my 2000 Windstar

I think you have some other problem than the throttle position sensor ... its possible the PCM is trying to compensate for a vacuum leak somewhere, and having the sensor disconnected helps it do this ... but this does not fix the problem.
.
I would suggest you remove each vacuum hose (three) from the rear of the plastic upper ... plug temp with your finger. What happens to engine idle?
