ScaleAuto Viper GTS-R

ScaleAuto has some new pics of their upcoming Viper on their site. Looks really good and cant wait for it to be released. Been waiting a year for this already and it looks like it might be worth the wait. Hopefully SRT can get their sales up and continue their race programme. Unfortunately, they've withdrawn from this years Le Mans race to focus the Tudor Series. Here's a link to some pics

Looks great,
I hope they use bigger wheels for there production models.
I think these ones are to small.

Re: ScaleAuto Viper GTS-R

The wheels themselves are probably fine, its just the tires are for slot car racing so they looks smaller. If not, Scale Productions is doing some of these wheels I believe and they can just be replaced. I'm more concerned with the body proportions as it looks like this may be the only 1/24 Viper GTS R we're likely to see. Scratch building a chassis wont be that hard and if the Viper is like their other kits, it'll have atleast a half interior which can be opened up to a full without too much effort. Fingers crossed we'll see some actual kits before the end of the year.

They're also doing the new 991 RSR, yet another car to add to the ever growing pile of stuff I need to finish.

Re: ScaleAuto Viper GTS-R

Very nice!! Does anyone have any idea how the body will be formed? Is it going to be vacuform or styrene?

I've got a very good friend that works for Riley Technologies, thats fielding the SRT Vipers in the ALMS, would love to build one for him to put on his desk.

Scale Auto produces their body shells by injecting styrene, not vacuformed.

Re: ScaleAuto Viper GTS-R

I have the Audi gt body. It is well worth getting. It goes right on the revell chassis. There kits give you all the body basics.

Re: ScaleAuto Viper GTS-R

As of May 24th

http://www.scaleauto-slot.com/entry/...-viper-gts-r-1

New pics, car looks really good. I bought mine today from http://www.132slotcar.us/store/

And to top it off.....SRT Viper is no more ....instead we get

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...e-livery-again

(opps, forgot the article link)

New livery, awesome....I much prefer the vintage Viper Le Mans livery to the new SRT Viper anyways. Its just too bad they opted out of the Le Mans this year, would of been nice to have seen this new livery debut at the 24hrs, but 6hrs at the Glen is almost as good.
