'87 Fifth Avenue starter question

My mom has an old 1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue sitting in her yard that she and my father used to drive. Before my father passed away he said all the Chrysler needed was a starter. My mom wants me to scrap it, but I don't have the heart to scrap it without at least seeing if the car will run again. From what I remember the engine ran good, I don't know why they never had the starter replaced. I have looked at a couple of salvage sites, and they list starters for many different Chrysler models using the same starter. The car has a 318 engine. Are starters the same on different Chrysler cars? And would anyone have any suggestions on which ones use the same starter as the Fifth Avenue that I might pull a starter from?

Re: '87 Fifth Avenue starter question

Look on Rockauto.com in Chrysler -> 1987 -> Fifth Ave -> 5.2L 318cid V8 -> Electrical.
