Hi guys. I've had a whining sound at around 2000-4000rpm in second gear and 1200-3000 in 5th gear. I've had this whine for around 3300 miles, gears going in to place easy, no crunches or anything like that.
Dealer said if it was the gearbox, it would of well broke before 2000 miles, nevermind 3300 and my car does get put to it's limits on our backroads (legally :P). They've suggested it being the Inlet mani or differential. What do you think? I would attach a video, but the whine is so low but quite high pitches the camera doesn't pick it up. Goes away when clutch is depressed and foot is off the accelerator. I'll probably still end up tearing it my gearbox to investigate, but thought i'd ask before i do lol.
