'98 7.4 fuel injector replacements
1998 Sub K2500 7.4
178,000 miles Going to replace the fuel injectors due to decreasing MPG and warm hard starts (puddling). What would you guys recommend? AC-Delco at $120 each. ($960) Delphi at $72 each. ($576) Lucas at $45 each. ($360) All of the above are new not rebuilt.

could be hard warm start is the ECT provided that the fuel pressure holds on key on engine off... pressure drop can also be the regulator leaking into the intake ... |

Re: '98 7.4 fuel injector replacements
This "warm hard start" seems to be a common issue with the OEM injectors on the 7.4's. The ECT is new. NO help. The rail and injectors were cleaned at a local shop using the proper tools and cleaner ( I watched). NO help. Fuel pressure is good and may drop 1-2 psi in 30 mins (a symptom of leaking injectors and "puddling").
I'm am going to replace the injectors.. I will not do rebuilds!! So, once again, all I'm asking for are recommendations on the 3 injectors I listed.
